1991 Regent of the Year
Few women have demonstrated the level of intellectual and financial support of ShermanCollege as Dr. Theresa Galant. A chiropractor from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Galant has been a steadfast supporter of the college since her graduation.
In 1986, just three years after graduating from ShermanCollege, Galant became a member of the Sherman College Board of Regents. In 1991 she was named Regent of the Year in recognition of her strong service and support of the college.
She serves as a career advisor and has led many students to a career in chiropractic and to ShermanCollege as the place to learn the philosophy, art and science of chiropractic. An active member of the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations, she has chaired that national association’s scholarship committee for many years.
In 1989 she invited to serve as a trustee of the college where she and other member s of the Board of Trustees established broad goals for the college’s development and advancement.
Galant maintains an active practice in Pittsburgh, where she is a frequent guest speaker for local community groups on the topic of health and chiropractic.
