He IS Chiropractic
Dr. Sal Martingano’s patients tell him he doesn’t just practice chiropractic, he IS chiropractic. Perhaps that is why he’s so successful in his high volume practice and in every facet of his chiropractic career. A native of New York, Dr. Martingano settled in Florida and practices in Palm Bay.
Dr. Martingano, his wife, Cookie, and their three children, Jennifer, Daniel and Adam were patients of Dr. Ernie Landi in Spring Valley New York (the former practice of Reggie and Irene Gold) when Dr. Ernie Landi commented that Sal would make a great chiropractor. Dr. Landi highly recommended that Sal attend Sherman College. That’s all it took. After teaching for 15 years, Dr. Martingano gave up his position teaching graphic arts and photography in the New York City school system, as well as a thriving printing business, to enter Sherman College. Because of this experience Dr. Martingano has made it his mission to recruit prospective students into the profession and refer them to Sherman College. Most of his referrals have been patients first.
Never passing up an opportunity to talk about chiropractic, Dr. Martingano received the B.J. Palmer Philosophy Distinction award. In 1992, he received the Distinguished Service Award and in 1998 the college recognized his achievements by naming him career Adviser of the Year.
Dr. Martingano has served on the Board of Trustees of both the Southern California School of Chiropractic and the Straight Chiropractic Academic Standards Association. He presently serves as a motivational speaker and regular presenter at chiropractic conventions for continuing education and continues to enjoy his busy practice.
