Katsuhisa Yoneyama

Dr. Katsu Yoneyama is the first Sherman College graduate from Japan (1983). While attending Sherman, Yoneyama was active in the Student International Chiropractic Association (SICA), serving consecutive terms as secretary and president in 1983.
Today,
his contribution to the profession continues in Japan, where he currently
resides. He is the Vice President of the
Pacific Asia Association of Chiropractic (PAAC).He is a current regent.
1996 marks the twentieth anniversary of PAAC, which is based in Tokyo and has over 500 members. Dr. yoneyama's article in Dynamic Chiropractic details the purposes of the PAAC, which includes standarization of chiropractic curriculum and public relations for the profession in Japan. In 1990, PAAC and the older Japanese Chiropractic Association formed a joint venture to initiate more positive roles in starting insurance coverage for automobile injuries increase in malpractice coverage, and more effective legislative and public relations efforts.
