John P. Degenhart

Dr. John Degenhart earned his doctor of chiropractic degree from Sherman College in 1980. Graduating magna cum laude, he received the prestigious B.J. Palmer Philosophy Distinction Award at his graduation

Since his graduation, Dr. Degenhart has devoted his time to a family chiropractic practice in Hazelton, Pennsylvania, and to sharing the chiropractic vision with his community through television and radio programs. He achieves balance in his life by running a full-time practice and enjoying the solitudes of nature with his wife and five children.

A member of the college’s distinguished Board of Regents since shortly after he graduated, Dr. Degenhart is a strong and dedicated supporter of ShermanCollege. He was recognized in 1996 as Regent of the Year.

A member of the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations and the Sherman College Alumni Association, Dr. Degenhart is also co-author of the book Old Too Soon, Smart Too Late published in 1999 with John D. Hrycyna.
