Mrs. Eula Mae Sherman, the wife of Lyle W. Sherman, D.C., and mother of two daughters, has demonstrated her many talents through her involvement in various chiropractic, civic, social and church groups. Mrs. Sherman attended Lombard College, Brown’s BusinessCollege and graduated from Maude Main School of Fine Arts in Galesburg, IL.
Mrs. Sherman opened a Studio of Expression and Music in Montana where she and Dr. Sherman, an accomplished pianist, presented many recitals together. While in Davenport, Iowa, she organized the Guardian Association, served as the first president of the Adults Council of Campfire Girls, Inc., was the first to receive the National Luther Guliala Award, served as president of the PTA and the Lady’s Lion Club, was president of the Women’s Auxiliary to the International Chiropractic Association (AWICA), senior editor of the women’s section of “Review” and served as president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Iowa Chiropractic Association.
While in Spartanburg, SC, Mrs. Sherman has organized a chapter and was advisor of WAICA of SC; she organized the SC State Woman’s Auxiliary to the South Carolina Chiropractic Association, of which she was the first president; she has served as president of the Business and Professional Women’s Association (BPWA); president of Altrusa International; served on the Board of Women Voters; served on the committee that organized Adult Writing and Reading Education (AWARE) in Spartanburg and was its first elected secretary; organized and was president of Spartan Listeners - SHHH, “Self Help for Hard of Hearing”; and has been on Sherman’s distinguished Board of Regents since 1990. She has received numerous awards and certificates.
