Anthony Mirando, D.C. - Sherman Gallery of Honor

Dr. Tony Mirando is a 1983 graduate of Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic who maintains a busy practice in Washington, D.C. Based on his range of expertise and experience, he was appointed chairman of the District of Columbia Board of Chiropractic Examiners in 2000.

Mirando is past president of the District of Columbia Chiropractic Association and helped write laws pertaining to chiropractic practice in 1985. He served on the Board of Directors of the Straight Chiropractic Academic Standards Association and as a member of the Sherman College Board of Regents.

He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1986 and was named Sherman College Chiropractor of the Year in 1991. Mirando also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York and a master’s degree in organizational management from Marymount University.
